PARM  joins the 12th Women with Disabilities Day Celebration

The Philippine Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine participated in the celebration of the 12th Women with Disabilities Day Celebration. This year’s theme is  “Kapakanan at Karapatan ni Juanang may Kapansanan Isama sa Plano ng Bayan”. A Forum  on Reproductive Health Law and Action Research on Gender  and Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction and Management was held last March 30 at the Yuichi Ichikawa Hall of the Occupational Health and Safety Center in North Avenue, Diliman Quezon City.

Marian Rivera-Dantes, the Ambassador for Women and Children with Disabilities was the guest speaker and one of the researches presented was W-DARE (Women with Disability taking Action on Reproductive and Sexual Health), a three-year program of participatory action research to improve the sexual and reproductive health of women with disabilities in the Philippines.
